The jacket came in a much smaller package than expected. The good thing is that you don't have to wait at home to sign the packet. It fits in the regular mailbox quite well. The jacket is light and warm. We bought it for our ten-month-old. This is a good buy.

I bought this because we have our daughter outside all the time in the winter. I want to be sure she is comfortable while we are skiing or snowshoeing - so far she has been very happy while in the snowsuit. It also doesn't make her fuss too much, since the down is very compressible, and so not as puffy as some outdoor gear. The flaps that go over her mittens and boots are also very helpful. The only problem I have with the suit is that the hood has no adjustments to tighten or loosen it, so it doesn't stay on very well. That and there weren't many options on the colors. Otherwise it works wonderfully!

When I first got this in the mail I was surprised at how lightweight it felt and wasn't sure that it would keep the baby warm enough (we're having a pretty bad winter this year). Once she wore it a couple times I saw that I was wrong, it's actually pretty perfect... warm enough outside but not so hot that once she gets inside I have to race to get it off.

Columbia Sportswear Snow Powder Down Bunting for Infants (Size 6-24mo)
Our little 10 month old stays warm and cozy in this snow suit here in Alaska. Since the hands and feet have flaps that convert as the child grows, we bought a much larger suit to extend the usefulness and are VERY happy we did this. The only down side of this product is that I would like to see a little more down fill.
