Product Description The SwaddleMe provides the simplest way to swaddle with soft fabric wings that hug your baby close. A leg pouch pops down for quick diaper changes while leaving baby comfortably swaddled. As baby grows, wings adjust for a customized fit for your baby. Swaddling soothes infants by recreating the comforting snugness of the womb and new research shows that swaddling may help reduce the risk of SIDS by promoting better sleep when babies are on their backs. Pediatricians recommend swaddling to soothe and comfort newborns, helping them sleep better and also to help reduce colic. A percentage of each SwaddleMe sold is donated to First Candle / SIDS Alliance to help babies survive and thrive.

Great Item October 9, 2008 Fahad Emad (jordan) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very good Item, though we didn't use it ( still 3 months left). but the material feels so good. Really worth every penny.
I think a nice soft blankie is still preferable June 13, 2008 K. Givens 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a gift for my new grandbaby. I had to wash it before giving it to her because it had a funny odor. It didn't wash up very soft either. I still prefer a good soft flannel blanket for swaddling. When buying it, I was not aware of the Made in China factor, but it was a learning experience.
Love it, but needs a medium size March 30, 2008 R. Earl (Gilbert, Arizona) We have this blanket in 3 of the different fabric choices, and this one in particular shrunk the most in the wash (the fleece is much better, but too warm for Arizona...). It is definitely hard to get the velcro fastened around our tiny 2 month old. We also have the cotton jersey ones, but this only comes in large, which is HUGE! I wish there was a size medium, which would be perfect. I do love the price and the fact that you can fasten it into a carseat. It has definitely helped calm our newborn on car rides, but unfortunately won't fit her too much longer...
Swaddling for Dummies March 23, 2008 Lyssa Mercier (Seattle, WA) I never managed to get the swaddling-with-a-blanket thing correct -- my bundles were always too loose to contain my very wiggly baby girl. These swaddlers bind her up like a little papoose! The placement of the Velcro is a little inconvenient, and she grew out of the small size in less that two weeks (she was 8.5lbs at birth), but I would recommend these for anyone who needs to swaddle but hasn't the knack.
Pretty handy! November 27, 2007 A. Oliver I am not very good at swaddling so I was thrilled when I saw the Kiddopotamus blankets online. They work very well and they are quick and easy to use. My favorite thing about these blankets is that the velcro keeps the baby tightly swaddled. It is very tough for a baby to get free of this swaddle. The only problem I have with these blankets is that they are a little too thin. The one I have is starting to pull apart at the seam. Even so I am satisfied with this product.
