1 out of 5 stars Cheap and ridiculous to assemble   September 22, 2008

My husband and I laughed when we saw the 40-step instruction book that has zero written instructions and is all diagrams. Aside from the diagrams being very difficult to follow and understand, all the parts have #'s (like a flat head screw = #99 while round head screw that is almost identical = #100). We had to skip steps 11 and 12 until we could see how those pieces would be used in final construction because the directions were so unclear. In the end, we were missing 8 nails and had a surplus of plastic dowels. The hardware is sectioned into plastic bags without rhyme or reason. Aside from a difficult assembly, this is a CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP quality table/bureau. I'm a little nervous about using it with our newborn but since we spent the 4 hours assembling it I can't imagine trying to send it back to the company and starting over. We're going to make the best of it but I would definitely say it's better to spend a few more bucks on something more substantial or even check out Ikea. I think their product would have been a better choice over this one. Obviously, NOT recommended (especially if you aren't handy, which by the way, we are).
