I bought these shoes for my 8 year old son at the beginning of the school year. They've held up well, and still look new. They're easy to put on and take off, thanks to the bungee laces, and he says they're very comfortable.

Keen Targhee review December 17, 2008

I personally have owned several pairs of Keen's, so I was familiar with the quality of the shoes. I purchased the Keen Targhee's for my son this fall for a trip we are taking to Peru in December. As my son generally only will wear sneakers, I initially had to force him to wear them and break them in. I now find them on his feet daily, without any instruction from me. He tends to have a wide foot but the Keen's fit and wear very well. They also look much more polished then his sneakers. I plan on purchasing the next size up.
