Product Description These inserts are made of 4 layers of soft hemp (French) terry. Since they have more layers than the more common inserts on the market we were able to make them 5 inches wide and eliminate bulk between the legs and still have plenty of absorbency. At the longest length they are 15 inches but fold down to 11 inches. GAD One Size Hemp inserts are 5 x 11 inches with a 4 inch flap. They are sewn with an open loop design to give 4 overall layers and 8 in the wet zone if you have it folded to the small setting. GAD inserts are made with 55% naturally grown hemp and 45% organic cotton French Terry and made by Work at Home Moms here in the USA. Perfect for any one-size, large, and medium diapers.

hemp inserts are awesome! December 31, 2007 J. K. Buie (Austin, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am fairly new at cloth diapering, and heard that hemp inserts are the way to go for ecology, absorbancy, and comfort! And they were right! On the first use I had NO leakage problems at all, I actually had to "finger check" the diaper to see if it was wet after about 4 hours because there was no other way to tell! I heard that you have to wash them a few times before you get great absorbancy, but I had no problems upon first use at all! This particular brand is the best I have seen for value and quality-I would definitely buy these again.
Best Inerts for all Bands of Pocket diapers! June 24, 2007 E. Cortez (Tampa bay area, Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic insert! I was having problems with one of my pocket diapers leaking and I started using the GAD insert and haven't had any more leaks. Wow!!! I've only used it in a large diaper so I don't know how well it would work with smaller ones but it would definitely be worth trying! It is soooo absorbent yet still stays trim. I don't have any problems using this in my pockets and being able to get shorts or pants on my DD. It seems to wash well and drys pretty quickly to boot!
Green Acre Designs One Size Hemp insert January 3, 2007 Shannon M. Story (Chester, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These inserts are great for when you need something that will hold a lot of liquid and still fit under that cute pair of jeans that only fits with sposies on. They need to be washed 8-10 times before they are fully absorbent, but after that, they are so nice to have in your cloth diaper stash! They fit on most size large diapers with the flaps to the outside and most small and Medium Diapers with the flap to the inside. They dry fast because of the loop design and hold a lot because they are a full layer more fabric than most inserts out there. I love the flaps because since I have boys I can put the extra absorbency right where I need it. If I had girls I could put the flaps in the center instead of all the bulk being in the front like other one size inserts out there. There are also no snaps to break, and no need to unsnap this insert when it's all soggy with pee for faster drying and better washing. Most people who use these like them better than the leading Hemp insert out there.
